 Want to Apply For Food Stamps (SNAP)?

It’s easy! There are 2 simple ways to apply for Food Stamps (SNAP)!

1. ONLINE
   
   1. Some counties allow you to apply @ www.mybenefits.ny.gov
   2. If not, download an application from http://otda.ny.gov/main/programs/applications/ and return it to your Local Department of Social Services (LDSS) Office in person, or by mail or fax
   *If you do not have access to a computer or the Internet, you can usually find one at your local library or community center.


2. IN PERSON at a LDSS Office
   1. Bring completed application to LDSS office or find and complete one there
   2. You can locate the nearest LDSS office by:

After your application is received, you will be scheduled for an interview.

The Food Stamp program is now called the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Monthly benefits range from $16 and up, depending on qualifications.
